Rozengracht a Special Must Visit Shopping Street in the midst of "de Jordaan" with Unique Shops

"Rozengracht"[Roses canal]is a very interesting shopping street famous for various trendy UNIQUE  speciality shops ideal for fun - gift shopping of all kind.

One reason for the damping (1890) of the 17th-century canal was the bad hygienic state by the polluted water [1] and the construction of a broad road to the new districts west of the canal. In 1895 an extension of the Rozengracht The Clercqstraat was constructed. To the east, in the direction of the Dam, a through-road in the Raadhuisstraat was finalized.

Parallel to the Rozengracht runs the “Rozenstraat” a tiny narrow street running from “de Prinsengracht” to “ “Lijnbaansgracht” for those enjoying a quiet walk and at the same time admiring quaint old gables dating back early 16th century it is an interesting street.

For shopping this street has many  specialty and delicacy shops and also a few authentic interior design lifestyle and fashion shops - Japanese Futon  and many traditional restaurants of various cultures - a well-known Italian restaurant is Mazzo
